Security Policies
Kyber’s Data Protection Policy is designed to ensure the secure handling of customer data through rigorous encryption standards and robust access controls. All customer data is stored on encrypted volumes, with encryption keys safeguarded by strict access policies. Access to production data is granted only on a case-by-case basis, with default restrictions in place. Customer data is logically separated at the database level, ensuring only authorized users can access it.
To prevent unauthorized access or data leakage, Kyber implements a range of security controls, including activity monitoring, file integrity checks, vulnerability scanning, and malware detection. Data in transit is encrypted end-to-end, ensuring secure communication across cloud infrastructure and third-party applications. Any data that is no longer required is deleted or securely destroyed in compliance with Kyber’s retention policies, legal obligations, and industry standards.
Kyber uses confidentiality agreements (NDAs) with both internal and external parties to protect sensitive information. The company also adheres to strict protocols for the movement of sensitive data, ensuring that media with such data is securely packaged and transmitted. Regular audits and monitoring activities help ensure compliance with these protocols.
Please visit our page below to learn in detail about our security policies and monitoring procedures.
Customer Data Retention Policy
Kyber’s Data Retention Policy outlines the procedures for managing and deleting customer data. Customer data is retained as long as an account remains active. Upon voluntary account closure, data is kept in an "expired" state for 90 days, after which it is permanently deleted. Customers are encouraged to manually download their data before closing their accounts.
For involuntarily suspended accounts, there is a 90-day grace period during which the account can be reactivated by resolving any payment or terms of service issues. If the account remains inactive after this period, it enters the "expired" state and is permanently deleted after an additional 90 days, unless retention is legally required.
Information Security Policy
Kyber’s Information Security Policy is designed to safeguard all forms of company information, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability. It applies to all employees, contractors, and third parties who access Kyber’s systems or networks. The policy outlines security measures to protect data from accidental or intentional unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure.
The policy sets clear security objectives: protecting information from internal and external threats, ensuring secure information sharing, promoting professional handling of data, and minimizing business risks. Specific procedures include regular employee training on security responsibilities, annual reviews of all security policies, and background checks for personnel. Incident response and business continuity plans are in place to handle potential security breaches or disruptions.
Kyber also enforces intellectual property protections and software licensing compliance. Information is protected through encryption, access controls, and monitoring systems to detect vulnerabilities. Employees are required to sign confidentiality agreements, and any violations of the policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
